Sunday i got up and was itchin to do something....mostly that didn't involve sitting in the house and cleaning all day, as a typical weekend ends up being. As i am a stay at home mom, i really don't get out out of the house unless i really have to. Traffic around here is such a pain and the older i get the more nervous i seem to be, i guess it's cause from having kids...who knows. Anyway, so i decided we'd go up to White Sands National Monument. It typically takes us about 1hr and 15 mins or so to get there....Not yesterday, we got send back 20+ miles to learn later that we really chose the longest way to go and the kids finally crashing in the car, only after listing to the oldest run at the mouth for 2 hours and the youngest to fuss bec he had been stuck in the car seat for way to long, we finally made it..3 hours later. So with both of us already irritated and 2 sleepy kids we ventured out to the sand dunes. One thing we had never done before but did this time was buy a disk to slide down the dunes....let me tell you that was FUN! We chose to go eat and then come back for the sunset walk...dinner was a disaster outside of the food. We finally got done over 1 hr and 30 mins later, back to the park we went. The sunset walk was fun, not very long at all but very informational. So here are a few pictures i took yesterday....
And no matter how irritating as it seemed yesterday, we really enjoyed our time out and about playing in the sand. On another up note, D's orders finally have been posted and we are moving in a few months. Yes, its gonna be a headache but its gonna be totally worth it once its done, and we cant wait!
I'm sure if you do follow me somewhat on a regular basis, i prob wont be updating this for another 2 weeks or so bec I'm taking the boys back to Arkansas for a week. I'm sure i will have a ton of pics and stories to share when i get back :)
